174. It is narrated from Abu Salama b. Abdurrahman that there was a dispute between him and some people from his tribe (about a piece of land). When he told Aisha, the Mother of Believers, about it, she said:
“O Abu Salama! Avoid taking the land unjustly! I heard the Prophet saying:
“Whoever usurps even one span of the land of somebody, his neck will be encircled with it down the seven earths.” (Bukhari, Mazalim, 13; Bad’ al-khalk, 2; Muslim, Musaqat, 139-142. Also see. Tirmidhi, Diyat, 21)
