١٥٦. عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَلِيٍّ:

«يَا عَلِيُّ لَا تُتْبِعِ النَّظْرَةَ النَّظْرَةَ فَإِنَّ لَكَ الْأُولَى وَلَيْسَتْ لَكَ الْآخِرَةُ».

156. Buraida (r.a.) said: The Messenger of Allah said to Ali:

“O Ali, if you suddenly see something that is forbidden to look at, do not turn and look back! As a matter of fact, the first look is forgiven, but the second one is against you (as a sin.)” (Abu Dawud, Nikah, 42-43/2149; Tirmidhi, Adab, 28/2777; Haythami, VIII, 63)
