١٣١. عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
«إِنَّ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَتَخَوَّفُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي اَلْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللّٰهِ أَمَا إِنِّي لَسْتُ أَقُولُ يَعْبُدُونَ شَمْسًا وَلَا قَمَرًا وَلَا وَثَنًا وَلٰكِنْ أَعْمَالًا لِغَيْرِ اللّٰهِ وَشَهْوَةً خَفِيَّةً».
131. Shaddad b. Aws narrated that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:
“I am most worried about my followers that they may ascribe partners to Allah. With these words, I do not mean worshipping to the moon, sun, or idols. The thing that worries me is their deeds which are performed for someone other than Allah and their hidden desires (their feeling of showing-off).” (Ibn Majah, Zuhd, 21)
